Silk Painting Studio

Silk painting students may use 1/2 the Art Studio (with no instructor) on Wednesdays from 7:00pm-9:30pm.
$10 per session.

Teen/Adult Ceramics

Thursdays, 7:30pm-9:30pm; Ages 15 to Adult
April 25 to June 20; 9 Classes
$210* / $170 Y members
*plus $35 registration fee (paid once per semester per person, waived for Y members)

Beginners to advanced are welcome. Students will have the opportunity to explore clay using the potter's wheel and handbuilding techniques. Learn how to glaze and decorate your functional and/or sculptural pieces. Individual instruction will be given. Cost of firing is included in the course fee. Clay fee is additional.

Instructor Barbara Flam is a professional potter and has been teaching ceramics to children, teens and adults at the Y since 1987. She holds a B.A. in art with a specialization in ceramics, a Master's of Art degree and a NYS teaching certification.
