School-Age Swimming (5-14 yrs)
Children will learn with and from their peers in these focused and fun swim classes. Classes are formed by similar swim abilities based on the American Red Cross Learn to Swim curriculum levels 1-5. Safety, self-propulsion, buoyancy and proper breath control are at the very core of every level.
Level 1: Introduction to water skills, comfort and water safety.
Level 2: Fundamental aquatic skills, focus on basic freestyle and backstroke.
Level 3: Stroke development, focus on rotary breathing, better body coordination and butterfly motion.
Level 4: Stroke improvement focus on front and back crawl, sidestroke, butterfly and breaststroke.
Level 5: Stroke refinement, focus on flip turns, front and back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke and butterfly.
SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING (AGES 8+)
Synchronized swimming is one of the most intricate and difficult
sports in the world. Soloists, duets, trios, teams, and combos perform choreographed routines to music. This class is for strong swimmers interested in exploring the sport.
