There is a lot going on at the Riverdale Y for children and teens, all year long!
After-School
The Y hosts two year-long after-school programs for children in grades K-6: Kids' Space, held five days a week at the Y, is a safe, supervised, enriching after-school place for children in grades K-6 from our local community whose parents are not at home when school ends. Homework help with a certified teacher is provided and transportation from local schools included. Y!Care is a program held at PS 24, Mondays-Thursdays. PS 24 children participate in a variety of structured group activities (including gym and playground time, and arts and crafts) under the supervision of our staff. A quiet place to work on homework is provided.

Aquatics Classes
The Y’s indoor pool allows us to offer babies, toddlers and children swim lessons for all levels of skill. There are also open swim time for families.

Music School
The Rhoda Grundman Music School offers individual lessons for children and adults at all skill levels. Piano, violin, and guitar are the most popular, but you choose your instrument, we will provide an expert teacher for you!

Dance School
The Riverdale Y's Dance School offers a wide array of dance instruction programs for all ages. We have classes for children as young as two years old, and all the way through to adults. Instruction is available in classic ballet, creative movement, tap, hip hop, ballroom and belly dancing, character, jazz and action dance.

Birthday Parties
The Y is available to host birthday parties for children of all ages. Members and non-members welcome.
You can also book a special swim, art, and gym party. For younger children, parties can be arranged in one of our specialty rooms or spaces.
