Every child has the right to enjoy the fun of playing sports, the joy of teamwork, the achievement of making a shot or making a good play. Enjoy the milestones your child will make in socialization, interaction and sports training in a team sport at their own individual level of participation. Routine training will build their confidence, self esteem and share in peer unity. This basketball program will teach by following directions, and learning by example and acceptance with group support and encouragement. No experience or basketball abilities are needed. The ONLY requirement is the desire to have FUN!

The Riverdale YM-YWHA welcomes retired NBA Player, Felipe Lopez to the Sports and Recreation Department. Coach Felipe will be running our Special Needs Basketball Program in addition to providing his coaching expertise to our members and most importantly to our young athletes that are participating in the Stanley Lane Youth Basketball League!
