After-School Program
Kids' Space is a safe, supervised, enriching after-school place for children in grades K-5 from our local community whose parents are not at home when school ends. Kids' Space is located at the Riverdale Y and picks up from over 10 local schools in Riverdale, Kingsbridge and Yonkers. The program runs Monday through Friday until 6:30pm.
What is Kids' Space?
• Homework help with two certified teachers.
• Transportation from local schools included.
• Grades 1-5 may choose from many after-school enrichment classes including Karate, Instructional Swim, Chess, Creative Drama, Cooking, Magic, Mini Golf, Hands-on Science, Fine Arts, a variety of sports activities and more!
• Recreational swim time in the Y’s indoor pool, now 2X/week!
• Supervised gym, art studio, and game time
• Snack (kosher)
• The kindergarten unit will include activities such as Karate, Gymnastics, Art, Cooking, Recreational Swim, Story Time, and Sports. All kindergarteners will participate in activities as a group, under the leadership of trained staff.
• Three outdoor play areas
• Children are separated by grade into age-appropriate classrooms

Care After-School Program
@ PS 24
Y! Care is a five day per week after-school program based at PS 24 for the children of PS 24. The program meets Monday through Friday, and runs until 6:00pm. Children will participate in a variety of structured group activities (including gym, playground time, arts & crafts, and music) under the supervision of our highly-qualified staff. Additionally, families have the opportunity to register for enrichment classes in conjunction with the after-school program. These classes include Sports, Art, Drama, Science, and an number of other offerings. An opportunity to work on homework with a NYS certified teacher is provided.
Y!Care follows the public school calendar.
Riverdale Y After-School
Enrichment Classes at PS 24
The Riverdale Y offers a wide variety of special enrichment classes for the children directly after school right at PS 24. The classes include art, sports, science, chess, drama and more. You do not need to be part of Y! Care to participate in the enrichment classes.
Courses will be announced via a flyer at PS 24 when school starts.
