Children

These classes are designed to give children the ability to enhance their coordination, discipline and concentration through a series of self-defense oriented exercises that are taught in a controlled, non-violent manner. In addition, children will learn how to embrace the concepts of honor, justice, benevolence, courtesy and modesty while providing a safe, structural environment to help them overcome their fears, anxieties, reactions and habits. As with most traditional martial arts schools, a system of rewards and recognition is in place for children to demonstrate their newly acquired mental and physical skills.

The former State, National, World-rated martial arts athlete, Julio Rodriguez, teaches the classes. He holds black belts in three different martial arts systems (USA Goju-Ryu, Taekwondo and Jujitsu). Mr. Julio Rodriguez is also a Colgate and Columbia University alumnus and is currently a professor of science in the New York State Public School System.
