The Y holds special day-long programs (often trips and special themed events) on public school full- and half-day holidays.
Kids off from school, but you have to work? Bring them to the Y!
Our Vacation Day Programs are the perfect way to make sure your child (in grades K-6) is getting the most out of their days off from school. Recreational swimming, sports, creative arts, gymnastics, karate and much more will be available.
Whether we are going on trips or taking specialty classes at the Riverdale Y, your children will see new places, experience enriching activities and of course have fun!
Our programs are open to the entire community, and are run and supervised by our After School staff. We provide a safe and entertaining day for your children. Watch our newsletter and our weekly electronic messages for dates and details.
Registration must be completed one business day prior to the start fo the program. Walk-ins cannot be accepted. The day will run from 9:00am-5:00pm and extra options include early stay (8:00am-9:00am) and/or late stay (5:00pm-6:00pm) fees.

Some basic information
All programs will run from 9:00am-5:00pm for Grades K-6.
Fee: $70 / Y Members: $55
Early and Late Stay is available
Early Stay, 8:00am-9:00am
for $10 add'l ($7 for Y members) each.
Late Stay, 5:00pm-6:00pm
for $10 add'l ($7 for Y members) each.
Children who are not enrolled in the early/late stay coverage option and arrive early or stay late will be expected to pay the fee upon arrival.
Please send your child with a towel, swim cap and bathing suit. Swim caps are available for purchase ($8) at the Y. All children are required to have all three items before entering the pool.
Please also send your child with a brown bag kosher (non-meat, non-shellfish and nut-free) lunch.
For March 25, 28, and 29, lunch will be provided.
School Half Days
Special programs will be offered at the Y for Kids’ Space and Y! Care participants when public schools dismiss for half-days. At the conclusion of the half-day program, Y! Care participants will be transported back to PS 24 for their normal afternoon program and Kids’ Space participants will remain at the Y for their regular after-school program. These half-day programs will include a kosher lunch.
