The Simon Senior Center offers opportunities to socialize, catch up with old friends, make more friends, and get involved in a new community. If you are not yet retired, come and sample some of the activities which will be available when you have more time. The center serves up a freshly prepared hot kosher lunch every day, along with a stimulating assortment of educational, social and recreational adventures. On Fridays the center provides a special take-home meal. SOUP MONDAYS: Join us every Monday for homemade soup from September through the end of February!
The something-for-everyone choices include trips, concerts, special events, and classes ranging from Tai Chi to Bridge. We always appreciate suggestions from our members. Learn to meditate, or to speak Spanish. Try line dancing or finally write that memoir.
Volunteer possibilities abound - teach a class, join a committee, or if you can take the heat, help out in the kitchen or try your hand at setting up the dining room. Don't sit home alone, get involved. Call Vicki, ext.224, for more information or to schedule a visit and tour.
Membership is free for adults age 60+. Register Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. Pick up our monthly information-filled calendar at the center.

Daily Transportation
No reservations are required for our daily shuttle up the 256th St. hill from 8:30 to 9:30 am. We also offer daily personalized door-to-door transportation provided through a Jeanette and Harry Weinberg Fund for the Aging of UJA Federation of New York grant. Call Helen, at 718-548-8200, ext 225 for information and registration.
