Community Board 8 presented the Riverdale Y with the Irving Ladimer Community Service Award on September 13, 2022. Alexandra Nyashina, our Director of Volunteer Services, accepted the award on behalf of the Riverdale Y in recognition of all the hard work that the volunteers of the Y did to ensure the food stability of our seniors during the pandemic. Over the past 18 months, we have delivered over 109,400 meals, translating to 62,400 volunteer hours. We sincerely appreciate the community’s recognition of the Riverdale Y’s volunteers.
