Did you know that the smallest donation still makes a difference?
It’s true! No matter what you can give, donating to the Riverdale Y ensures we continue to be your neighborhood for health, comfort, education, caring and fun, and helps build that neighborhood even more!
It’s a simple story: Our revenues—the money we collect from our memberships, our programs, services and tickets—only pay for about 70% of our costs. The remainder comes from generous donations from foundations, our State and Local governments, and people like YOU.
For example:
- A gift of $5 pays for lunch for a senior for a day. $10 pays for 2 lunches
- A gift of $10 pays for crayons or chalk for toddlers at our Early Education Center
- A gift of $25 will buy an iPad case and screen protector for our Teachers’ new iPads
- A gift of $50 will buy 5 hand paddles for our toddlers in swim class
The Y offers so much to each of us, it’s a nice way of saying “thank you.” You can be sure that every gift we receive is appreciated as much as a bar of gold.
