We are aware that CDC has updated their guidelines regarding mask-wearing indoors to prevent further spread of the Delta variant. As we receive further guidance from the NYS Dept. of Health, we will communicate any changes in our procedures.
The DOT has scheduled road paving for Arlington Ave on Thursday, July 29. Drivers should use the back gate entrance on 256th St to enter and exit. The front lot will still be open for parking. Please be careful when using the driveways since there will be two way traffic.

Fostering Independence Workshop

A Deeper Look at Our Children hosted by Milana Kagen: Why is it important for children to feel independent? What effect does it have on self esteem and confidence? What can we do at home to encourage independence?

Milana Kagen has been an early childhood educator at The Ella Baker School in Manhattan for the past ten years. She holds both a bachelors and masters degree from Sarah Lawrence College where she continues to lend her expertise in the field of education. Milana is dedicated to conversations about early childhood education and parenting both nationally and internationally. The Riverdale Y is proud to have as Milana a parent of both current and past students.
