Israeli Cuisine @ Home – Hummus and Pita

Ingredients:

For Pita:

  • 4 cups of white flour
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1/2 tbs salt
  • 1.5 tbs dry yeast
  • 2 tbs oil
  • 3 cups water
For Hummus:
  • 1 can of chick peas – 15.5 oz (Garbanzos)
    • Or 1.5 cups of chick peas – after overnight in water, cook in boiled water until extra soft
    • Or 1 bag if Frozen chick peas – cook in boiled water until extra soft
  • 1 cup of Tehini
  • 5 cups lemon juice
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin
For serving:
  • Olive oil
  • Parsley
  • Sweet paprika
  • Hard boiled egg
