The Challenge of Global Anti-Semitism
A Conversation With Elan Carr and Jonathan Goldstein
We’re all concerned about growing anti-Semitism, both here at home and abroad. Join UJA-Federation’s CommUnity and Central Synagogue for a conversation with Elan S. Carr, the United States special envoy to monitor and combat anti-Semitism, and Jonathan Goldstein, chairman of the Jewish Leadership Council in England, who will discuss their work implementing policies that counter anti-Semitism.
You’ll also learn about UJA’s work in helping secure Jewish institutions in New York, in Israel, and around the world.
Elan S. Carr
Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism, U.S. State Department
As special envoy, Elan Carr advises the secretary of state and is responsible for directing U.S. policies and projects aimed at countering anti-Semitism throughout the world.
Jonathan Goldstein Chairman, Jewish Leadership Council
As the chairman of the Jewish Leadership Council, Jonathan oversees the umbrella body of British Jewry’s central organizations and charities. Under Jonathan’s leadership, the Council has been on the front lines fighting anti-Semitism in the UK. Jonathan has long been an active member of the Jewish community and also serves as the chair of the Chief Rabbinate Trust.
