My name is Naama and I’m the new Israeli Shlicha at the Riverdale Y and at the Y in Washington Heights and Inwood.
I arrived from Israel about two months ago, with my husband Shay. Since we arrived, I took the time to get to know the community and I’m so happy to say that I met some amazing people from all different synagogues and organizations around Riverdale.
I will be here for the next two years, and I’m eagerly looking forward to getting to know the community more, forming strong relationships and friendships, and working together with as many partners as possible.
My main goal for the next two years is to share with the community my love and great appreciation for the State of Israel, its people, achievements, and amazing wonders, alongside having honest conversations about some of the challenges we deal within Israel.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally invite anyone who wants to take part in an Israel Committee and / or share with me thoughts and ideas related to Israel programming and engagement.
I have an upcoming virtual candle lighting which you’re all invited to! It’s going to take place on Thursday, December 2 at 5:30 pm. To register for the lighting, please click here.
