When we were forced to close for the COVID-19 emergency, we created one of our most important programs, delivering free meals to home-bound seniors. The program has provided sustenance to over 200 local seniors 6 days a week for over 6 months. We have delivered over 70,000 meals so far. Unfortunately, the agency providing the funding for these meals is planning to end their support in October. Our seniors need this program, and we want to help.
The program delivers food to the homes of over 200 seniors, primarily using volunteers to prepare and deliver pre-packaged meals and grocery items. The reactions from the seniors and their families has been overwhelming. The program has increased in size to meet the needs of our most vulnerable seniors.
Please consider a donation to help us fund the program so that the end of government support does not lead to food insecurity among the people we’ve so eagerly helped. Gifts can range from $5, which provides one meal, and we urge you to consider donating $100, which will provide 20 meals, or more. Click here for more information or to give. Thank you for your support
