The Creative Writing group, led by Dr. Miriam Dreisinger, has meant so much to our group. Miriam gave us gentle direction and discreetly allowed us the latitude to express ourselves in a way that had special meaning to each of us. It enabled each of us to dig deeply into our own unconscious and explore memories and feelings that were intense. Professor Dreisinger was well prepared for each class, providing structure and openness at the same time. We are very eager to continue this program.Vivian Krohn

This center is probably one of the best in NYC! The director, Sharon, is the best one I’ve ever known, probably one of the best directors in New York City.Barbara
One in a Million
The senior center at the Riverdale Y is “Shangra La” to me. It is unlike any other senior centers, because of the camaraderie and friendliness of both the members and staff. The food is extraordinary, as we have a gifted chef. We have access to an Olympic-sized pool on Mondays and Wednesdays. All ages are represented, from age 60 to a youthful 102-year-old member. Most of the lectures given are informative and entertaining.Joseph Gluch
