Israeli Cultural Programming

IHouse (Israeli House) at the Riverdale Y gives the Hebrew speaking and non-Hebrew speaking families the opportunity to strength their connections to the State of Israel, the Hebrew language, and Israeli culture. For Hebrew speakers, it is a great place to get a sense of home, to maintain the Hebrew language with other Israelis, and to give the next generation a chance to taste Israeli culture. For Jewish-Americans, the program enables them to engage with modern Israel and to understand the cultural aspects of the Israeli nation. The IHouse program is open to families from all backgrounds, religious, intercultural, and interfaith families, to come together to celebrate the love of the State of Israel, Israeli culture, and the Hebrew language in a welcoming, empowering environment. At IHouse, we believe that good (Israeli) food and good (Israeli) music can bring people together.

Sh’at Sippur (Story Time) for 2-6 year olds

Every third Sunday of the month (except February) from 10:30am to 12:00pm

Gymbo (Gym and Activity Time) for 2-8 year olds

Every first Sunday of the month from 10:15am to 12:30pm
