EMERGENCY!!!
Help us continue our free delivered meals to seniors! When we were forced to close for the COVID-19 emergency, we created one of our most important programs, free meals delivered to home-bound seniors. The program has provided sustenance to over 200 local seniors 6 days a week for over 6 months. We have delivered over 80,000 meals so far. Unfortunately, the agency providing the bulk of funding for these meals is ending support as of October 16. They are seeking lower cost, and much lower quality, vendors. Our seniors need this program and we want to keep it going.
The program delivers food to the homes of over 200 seniors, primarily using volunteers to prepare and deliver pre-packaged meals and grocery items. The reactions from the seniors and their families has been overwhelming. The program has increased in size to meet the needs of our most vulnerable seniors.
Please consider a donation to help us fund the program so that the end of government support does not lead to food insecurity among the people we’ve so eagerly helped.
