Aubrey Cheek is a performer, teacher, and choreographer based in NYC. Aubrey was one of 25 dancers from around the world accepted into the Jacob’s Pillow Tap Program this past summer. She was part of the Pre-Production workshop of Drury Lane Theatre’s 42nd Street, Choreographed by Jared Grimes and Directed by Michael Heitzman. Aubrey has performed with Chloe Arnold’s Apartment 33, taught tap at several studios in New Jersey and Florida and has guest taught at various studios around the country. She has trained in tap dance with Derick Grant, Michelle Dorrance, Charles Renato, Sarah Reich, Nicholas Young, Prof. Robert L Reed, Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards, and others. She has trained in hip hop with Jared Grimes, Luam, and others. She graduated summa cum laude from Pace University with a degree in Arts and Entertainment Management. Aubrey is passionate about sharing her love and knowledge of dance with the next generation!
