Emily Hausman
Director, Early Childhood
Emily joins The Riverdale Y as Director of our Early Childhood Center from The Levite Jewish Community Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to coming to the Y, she spent three years as Curriculum Director for the Cohn Early Childhood Learning Center, a large preschool with over 200 children and 50 teachers.
Emily earned her BA in Jewish History and Master’s Degree in Education from the American Jewish University in Los Angeles; she also completed a yearlong fellowship at Nishmat’s Center For Advanced Torah Study For Women in Jerusalem. When she’s not working, Emily loves spending time with her husband, Rabbi Joseph Robinson, doing yoga with her daughter Ruthie, reading with her son Liam, or eating with her littlest one Ben-Ami.
