Nekiya Edwards
Kitchen Manager
Nekiya was hired by the Riverdale Y in 2014 as a prep cook. She was quickly promoted to Assistant Cook afterwards, and is now the Head Cook/Food Service Manager for the Senior Center. Nekiya was born and raised in the Bronx where she still resides with her four beautiful kids: Anthony, Desiya, Nichel, and Xavion. Nekiya is pleased and happy to be working for the Y.
Philosophy
Working for the Y has became another home to me with extended family. We all work together no matter what department we’re in, and help one another!
