Nicole Montano is originally from Eatontown, New Jersey, where she began her training at a young age. In May 2015, she graduated magna cum laude from George Mason University with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and minor in Arts Management. While at GMU, Nicole studied with Susan Shields, Christopher d’Amboise, Karen Reedy, Dan Joyce, Luis Torres-Ortiz, Linda Miller, Kathryn Pilkington, Kelly Crandall, and Jim Lepore. She performed with the company numerous times, including an original work by Luis Torres-Ortiz. Nicole has choreographed four original pieces for the GMU company and two additional works for Red Bank Catholic High School’s Dance Department. After graduation, Nicole performed with the Metropolitan Ballet Theater Ensemble for one year in Gaithersburg, MD. Nicole currently works at IMG Artists as a Tour/Production Associate and also teaches dance at On Broadway Performing Arts Training Program. She is very excited to join the faculty at the Riverdale Y!
