We are aware that CDC has updated their guidelines regarding mask-wearing indoors to prevent further spread of the Delta variant. As we receive further guidance from the NYS Dept. of Health, we will communicate any changes in our procedures.
The DOT has scheduled road paving for Arlington Ave on Thursday, July 29. Drivers should use the back gate entrance on 256th St to enter and exit. The front lot will still be open for parking. Please be careful when using the driveways since there will be two way traffic.

Xiomary Marquez

Swim Instructor

I’m Xiomary Marquez, and I came to the United States three years ago. With my limited English, I was completely lost. I didn’t know what was waiting for me here, but I had this feeling that I’d find my way. A year later, I started working at The Riverdale Y; through working here, I grew up as a professional, and as a person. This is all thanks to the Aquatics Director, Felicha Bennet. She believed in me, and gave me the opportunity of be a part of her team. Today, I’m one of the Head Lifeguards and a Swim Instructor. I’m also a student at Westchester Community College. I’m very happy to be part of this place and this neighborhood.
