Through Tough Times

On my birthday in January, I was asked to make a couple of remarks about our feeling for the Riverdale Y Senior Center.
I started with “In good times and in bad, the senior center is here  to help us celebrate or get through a rough situation.”
At that time no one realized the bad times ahead in the form of the pandemic, but the Senior Center has come through again.
This weekend especially, I am appreciating your service to the elderly, as the tumor on my spine has acted up and caused severe pain in the back, hip, thigh and knee. The condition is improving for which I am grateful and once again, I am grateful for that knock at the door, bringing us a hot meal and so many added food items  to help us through the week.
Sharon, you are a Blessing from God.
