As you may be aware, I am from Ukraine, from Kyiv. Right now, this is a city that is familiar to so many people.
I have watched in silence and helplessness as my city is burning. There was nothing that I can do and nothing that I can direct your caring hearts to, to help those in need.
Until now. Now, we make a difference. Afya, a foundation that was here in January during our Day of Service, is involved in shipping medical supplies to Poland, to be used with refugees and to be delivered to Ukraine.
UJA has been able to secure time with Afya on this Sunday, March 27 to pack these supplies. We can all get together, and make a difference. Now is the time to act.
Please, click on this link if you are interested in helping. There are three time slots: 9:00 – 11:00 am, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, and 2:00 – 4:00 pm. The location is: 140 Saw Mill River Road, Yonkers, NY 10701. There is street parking only.
Please, if you can, help my city. Help my country. Spread this message far and wide. Let’s move mountains and rivers to help Afya deliver medical supplies to the 3 million displaced persons. And as you work on this project, think of the many other under-served communities that can benefit from your helping hand.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being a part of the team that makes a difference. You amaze me.
With Kind Regards,
